~ Turning bookmarks and feeds into interactive slideshows…
What is WebSlides?
Diigo's patent-pending WebSlides, http://slides.diigo.com, is an incredibly easy way to convert your bookmarks and feeds and present them as live web pages in an interactive slideshow format - complete with the full conten pages, links, comments, and ads. It enables a new way to easily create and share unique presentations based on web content and user annotations.
To create WebSlides, users simply enter a feed or list of bookmarks and add background music or voice narration. By clicking
button, the list transforms into a slideshow, bringing Web pages and user comments to life. All you and your reader need is just a web browser.
Each WebSlides has a unique URL, or comes as a widget, so it can be posted to your blog or social network profile, or sent by email. You can also keep the WebSlides private so it can only be seen by people you invite. Each slide displayed actually registers as a page view for the content owner.
What is more, Webslides also adds a new layer to the web by allowing any Diigo user to annotate each page on the fly with sticky notes to share thoughts or to highlight important sections. Viewers can also bookmark, tag, share, and clip content from the pages in WebSlides for future reference in their own Diigo online folders.
With WebSlides, Diigo is adding another innovative service to our portfolio of leading-edge tools and services in the area of online knowledge management, sharing and discovery.

How do I create a list of bookmarks to use with WebSlides?
In addition to tags, and better than folders, "List" is a great way to
organize, share and display specific collections of bookmarks. Once you add
bookmarks to your list, you can easily drag and drop items to arrange the
order in any sequence that you'd like to present. Best of all, when you
click the
button, you can browse, play and annotate any list of URLs as a slide show!
It's great for content browsing, sharing, and creating unique presentations
based on web content.
Click the "Create A List" button in the "My Bookmarks >> My Lists" section. Give your list a descriptive title, and select the options you want. Fields that require you to enter information are marked with an asterisk. You can accept the automatically assigned URL or you can edit it - but keep in mind that the URL is the one option you cannot later edit.
To add bookmarks to your list, go to "My Bookmarks", check off the ones you wish to add, then use the "Add to List" pull down menu to choose a list to add the checked bookmarks to. You can then open the list and change the order of the bookmarks by dragging and dropping them wherever you would like each one to appear.
How can I edit my list's options, or add an audio track?
In "My Bookmarks >> My Lists" in Diigo, click on a list of yours, then mouse over the area near "Get A WebSlides Widget"; when menu options appear, click "Edit" to edit the list info (such as privacy setting, description, tags, title, etc.) Or click "WebSlides Setting" to upload the audio and auto play setting, or even to change the author to a penname.
